About Coach Fields image
Trenton Fields is entering his 10th year as a high school football coach and his 4th year at Lexington Catholic. Coach Fields started his coaching career at Tates Creek High School under Mike Harmon. Trenton began his coaching career as the Freshmen Team Offensive Coordinator and quickly worked his way up to Varsity Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach in 3 seasons. Two of the four seasons, Tates Creek's Quarterback finished top 15 in the state for passing yards. Coach Harmon resigned from Tates Creek after the 2013 season and Coach Fields accepted a new teaching and coaching position at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester. In 2014, Coach Fields was named Passing Game Coordinator and helped lead GRC to it's most successful football season in several years. The following season Coach Fields accepted a new teaching position and coaching job at West Jessamine High School in Nicholasville. Fields was promoted to Offensive Coordinator mid-season.

Trenton joined Lexington Catholic's coaching staff as a wide receiver coach in 2016. New head coach Nigel Smith promoted Coach Fields to Offensive Coordinator in 2018. The Knights led the state in passing yards and total touchdown passes, with 311 yards per game and 43 touchdown passes on the year. Catholic also ranked 14th in the state in scoring with 40.8 points per game. Coach Fields is excited to lead the Knights in 2019!
